Food Pantry & Buddy Bags
Each week LBC provides take home groceries to over 40 qualifying families in the Shawnee Mission school district through our buddy bag program. Buddy Bags are designed to provide food items to families in need. These bags are delivered to the school counselor who quietly places them into a student’s backpack. An example of items sent home are macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter & jelly, crackers, etc.
Sorting donations, bagging food items and delivering buddy bags to local schools are some of the ways you can serve on the Food Pantry/Buddy Bag ministry team. If you would like to sign up to serve in any of these areas, do so below. If you would like more information on how to donate to our Food Pantry, text “Food” to 89449.

Our hope is to support the physical needs of individuals who are a part of Lenexa Baptist Church. While we are supporting the spiritual needs of our body of believers, we also want to support everyday physical needs, if possible.
Our ministries key verse is:
Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust, he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Please sign up below to be added to our list of volunteers and indicate the areas you would be willing to serve.

Operation Christmas Child
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. When you build a shoebox, it provides believers in remote regions a creative way to share the Good News in a culturally sensitive manner and to bless families who, in many regions, have never heard the story of Jesus before. In addition to packing a box, we have many volunteer opportunities to help collect, sort and stack the boxes during and after collection. If you’d like to serve with our OCC team, please click the button below to sign up.
