Pray for our Mission Teams

Southeast Asia

Pray for local partners and other believers as they serve in and around the region where we are traveling
Pray that the people of Southeast Asia would experience the Spirit’s peace and joy in Christ
Pray that Gospel opportunities will arise as they serve the community
Pray that our team will go with attitudes of humility, flexibility, compassion and love
Pray that our time of training would encourage and build up the church in Southeast Asia

Nicaragua

Pray for safe travel in and out of Nicaragua
Pray our supplies/bags will get safely through customs
Pray we will be an incredible encouragement to the people at Project Hope/Taellor’s House
Pray we will be able to share the love of Christ with the kids at Taellor’s House and that some would make decisions for Christ

Taellor’s House

Taellor’s House serves as a vital outreach to single mothers and their children in Nicaragua. Fully funded by LBC, Taellor’s House empowers these mothers to build a brighter future for their families. Click the button for more information.

Each month we have opportunities to serve Kansas City through partnering with local mission partners in our community. As a church we want to be the hands and feet of Jesus through serving the homeless, orphans, prisoners, refugees, and least of these in KC.

Send Relief

Send Relief is a partnership with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief efforts. Our disaster relief teams respond when crisis hits, quickly providing assistance ranging from serving hot meals to helping families clean up after a storm. We want to bring relief to hurting communities by providing the help, hope and healing of Jesus.

Missions Opportunities

Peru

This trip is centered around supporting the ongoing ministries of mission partner Compassion International and the Compassion school/church planted by LBC in Piura, Peru. LBC people sponsor 500+ children in this area and if you are a sponsor you will likely have the opportunity to meet and spend time with you child.

Honduras

This is a unique mission trip opportunity specifically for law enforcement or ex-law enforcement individuals. The focus of the trip will be conducting training for the leadership at the Honduran Police Academy in Comayagua, Honduras. Training will focus on various law enforcement skills and procedures to help them do their job better and safer.

South Sudan

Partnering with Empower One Ministries, this trip will involve ministry in and around the city of Yei, South Sudan and the capital city, Juba. The team will participate in dedicating and attend the grand opening of Empower One’s newest flagship church and will be working with the local church in the areas of outreach, encouragement and some small teachings.

This trip is open to all adults and to students age 14-17 years with a parent/signed guardian. Working with mission partner Project Hope, the trip involves constructing homes, doing daily evangelism and discipleship and serving at various established ministry sites. Construction skills are beneficial but are not required, and there is always a task for everyone on this trip.

Nicaragua

This team will partner with Project Hope to conduct a soccer tournament in rural Nicaragua. In past years, these tournaments have seen hundreds of people give their hearts to Christ. The trip will involve general service, a knowledge of soccer is helpful but not required and personal evangelism.

Nicaragua (Women’s Trip)

Partnering with Project Hope, this trip is for women only and will provide the opportunity to serve women and children in various ways in and around the Project Hope base. This trip is open to youth 14 and above when accompanied by a parent and is a great mother/daughter trip opportunity.

Dominican Republic

 Estimated cost is $1,250

Partnering with missionaries from Score International, this team will mostly work with Haitian refugees and a Haitian church planted near Santa Domingo, DR. The team will likely be involved in pastoral encouragement and training, light construction, evangelism, children’s ministry and discipleship. Open to adults and youth 14 and up with a parent.

Partnering with The James Project, this trip focuses on ministry to single women, single moms and their children. The details of this trip are still being set but could include light construction, children’s ministry, discipleship and evangelism.

Costa Rica

This trip is open to all adults and to students age 14-17 years with a parent/signed guardian. Working with mission partner Score International, this trip focuses on a variety of ministry opportunities including food distribution, light construction, children’s ministry and relational evangelism in some of the poorest communities in Costa Rica.

Canada

This trip is open to all adults and involves various kinds of social work and relational evangelism in and around the city of Montreal, partnering with Renaissance Church, and North American Mission Board church plant. Activities will include planning and managing a basketball tournament, distributing food and helping to conduct large events with the people of Renaissance Church.

Partnering with mission partners in the Middle East, this team will work to serve a local church providing encouragement and Biblical teaching. The church is primarily made up of refugees who are hungry to know more about what walking with Christ is all about.
