Nicaragua Women’s Trip

Dominican Republic
This trip will have the opportunity to serve through a variety of ministry experiences in partnership with our ministry partner, Score International. Participants will engage in simple construction projects, children’s ministry, and both men’s and women’s ministry. With all of the problems in Haiti who shares the island with the Dominican Republic, many Haitians have crossed the border into the DR. This team will partner with our church plant, Ebenezer Baptist, made up primarily of Haitian refugees, to serve their community through food distribution, village-to-village evangelism, children’s ministry and perhaps some light construction.

Costa Rica
This trip provides the opportunity to serve in a variety of ministries alongside our mission partner, Score International with local missionaries Salvador and Veronica Barrantes. Activities will include serving and encouraging local church members, doing children’s and adult ministry, often some light construction, food distribution and relational evangelism. This trip is open to all adults and students 14 and up with a parent. The maximum participants for this trip is 25.

Montreal, Canada
This trip is open to all adults and involves urban ministry in a big city as the team will work with our mission partner, Renaissance Church in the heart of Montreal. The team will be involved in a variety of ministry opportunities including food and clothing distribution, relational evangelism, evangelism events as well as generally encouraging the church body at Renaissance. This trip is ideal for younger adults but is open for all adults with a desire to share the love of Christ with others.
Maximum number of participants for this trip is 15.

Haiti

Ensenada, Mexico
This trip is all about working with two local churches and ministries in and around Ensenada, Mexico. The needs of the church are to work on two construction projects that will ultimately help their churches to grow and reach more people. There will likely be various ministry opportunities for children’s ministry, adult discipleship evangelism, evangelism events as well as construction. There is no set maximum as far as participants for this trip.

Guatemala
Team members will have the opportunity to serve in a variety of ministry opportunities outside of Guatemala City, Guatemala working with our mission partner The James Project. The team will be involved in children’s ministry, food delivery, some light construction or project work as well as any other opportunity to encourage and share the hope of Jesus with others. Students 14 and up are welcome to serve with a parent on this trip.

Peru
LBC partners with Compassion International and LBC people sponsor more than 500 children in and around Piura, Peru. This trip will focus on supporting and encouraging the students and staff at the local church plant that LBC funded several years ago. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with and share their faith with families in the community and will participate in planned activities for the children that currently attend. If you sponsor a child in the Piura area, you will have the opportunity to meet and spend time with that child as well.

Nicaragua Baseball
This is a sports ministry trip that is all about baseball. The team will conduct clinics throughout the week for Nicaraguan coaches and student baseball players while sharing the Gospel as part of every individual sessions. In 2025 the clinics involved more than a dozen coaches and had around 125 kids each day with many praying to accept Christ. If you love baseball, have played or coached in the past, then this is a great trip for you. This trip is open to all adult and to students 14 and over traveling with a parent.
The maximum number of participants for this trip is 15.

Ghana
This trip focuses on training Pastor’s in Africa and is only for those that have a seminary degree or significant Pastoral experience and training. Participants must go through a screening process conducted by the International Mission Board and then will work with mission partner Reaching and Teaching. There is one remaining slot for the 2026 trip however we will likely have other similar opportunities in the future.

Nicaragua Construction & Evangelism
Team members will have the chance to serve through a variety of ministry opportunities working with our mission partner Project Hope. Participants will do simple construction, children’s ministry, recovery ministry (men’s and women’s) and will serve at Taellor’s House, an after school program school for some of the poorest families in Nicaragua that is fully funded by Lenexa Baptist. Construction skills are helpful but definitely not required as we just need people who are willing to love on others and encourage. Students 14 and up are welcome to serve with a parent on this trip. Maximum number of participants for this trip is 15.

Southeast Asia
This trip is open to healthy and active adults. Team will work with mission partner Mountain Calling serving believers and sharing the Gospel in this dark and often difficult part of the world. Activities include Pastoral training for indigenous pastors, discipleship and encouragement of new believers, and relational evangelism with tourist and people in the tourism industry. Trip involves a lot of walking/hiking. Team size is 12.

Kenya – Summer
This is primarily a medical mission trip that is ideal for various kinds of doctors (including surgeons, anesthesiologists, optometrists, dieticians and others) as well as nurse practitioners, registered nurses either active or retired. The team will partner with local churches and medical professionals in and around El Doret, Kenya as well as sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with those that they see and those in the community. The trip will involve serving in multiple locations conducting both medical and eye clinics for people who have limited to no opportunity for medical help. This trip is open to adults with the proper training and students 14 and over with a parent.
