The mission of the Lenexa Baptist Church Media & IT Ministry is to faithfully support the work of the church by stewarding technology to serve people, strengthen communication, and remove distractions from worship and ministry. Through excellence, teamwork, and a heart for service, we leverage media and information technology to clearly share the Gospel, equip staff and volunteers, and ensure dependable systems that help the church connect, grow, and reach our community and beyond.

Opportunities to Serve

Running Lyrics (ProPresenter)

Serve by displaying song lyrics, scripture, and service elements clearly and on time so the congregation can participate without distraction. This role requires attention to detail, following the order of service, and working closely with worship team.

Camera Operator

Capture the service through live camera shots for in-room screens and online viewers. Camera operators help tell the story of worship by framing speakers, musicians, and moments of response with steady, thoughtful shots.

Audio (Sound)

Support the worship experience by mixing vocalist and instruments as well as speaking microphones so everything is heard clearly and consistently in the room and online. This role involves listening carefully, making real-time adjustments, and working as a team to create a balanced sound.

PTZ Camera Operator

Control robotic pan-tilt-zoom cameras to frame shots and follow action during the service. This role requires focus and timing, helping provide consistent camera coverage with smooth movements for screens and livestream.

Technical Director

The technical video director works closely with the video director to coordinate camera, graphics, and playback to create a seamless and distraction-free worship experience. 

Video Director

Lead the visual storytelling of the service by choosing camera shots and guiding the camera team during worship and teaching. The video director works closely with the technical director and camera operators to ensure a smooth and engaging visual experience.

Service Producer

Serve by helping plan and guide the overall flow of the service from a production standpoint. The service producer works with worship leaders and media teams to coordinate timing, cues, and transitions so each element fits together smoothly. This role focuses on communication, preparation, and real-time support, ensuring technology and teams work together to create a seamless, distraction-free worship experience.
