The LBC Women’s Ministry Team exists to REACH, TEACH, and UNLEASH women for the glory of Christ. Our women’s events and Renew ministry are opportunities to reach women with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our women’s Bible studies, events, Dwell worship gathering, Renew ministry, prayer ministry, and Apples of Gold studies are opportunities to teach and disciple women of all ages. We desire to reach so that lost are found, we teach to equip the found, and we desire to unleash so that every woman finds her place in God’s great plan to reach others.
At LBC, we believe that every believer is given gifts and abilities for God’s glory and the growth of His Kingdom. It is our desire to help every woman in our church get involved in missions and ministry to utilize their gifts, abilities, and talents for the good of our church body and the growth of the Kingdom of God. At LBC, we believe that you are MADE FOR MORE. And it is our desire to involve every woman in God’s great plan to REACH so the lost are found, TEACH so the found are equipped, and UNLEASH so the equipped are engaged.
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.” Ephesians 3:20

Renew for Moms
Calling all moms! Renew for Moms is a ministry for all moms of young children. Renew meets from 9-11 AM on the first and third Thursday of every month, September through May, in the Koinonia Hall. Our fun meetings include connecting with other moms, breakfast, crafts, wisdom from our mentor moms, encouragement from God’s Word, discipleship, relevant speakers, and opportunities for service.
Please contact Charity Walters at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in joining us this semester or if you have any questions. Renew is for all moms. Childcare is provided, although limited. Please register at lenexabaptist.com/events. Dues are $45 and the first semester is free to new participants.
Please keep your eyes open for a mom at the playground, at school, in the grocery store line, or at the library that may be hungry for friendships…and discover, through Renew, that what she really longs for is a relationship with the One who created her. Join us as we seek to Reach, Teach, and Unleash moms into our communities!
Apples of Gold
Apples of Gold is a 6 week mentoring Bible study on Titus 2. Mature Christian women lovingly teach and encourage younger women to love their husbands and children, to practice Biblical submission, kindness, purity, and hospitality in their homes. The format includes a cooking and sharing time, Bible study, and dinner each week. The fall session will be held on Tuesday nights and the spring session will be held on Monday nights.
Apples of Gold is open to all married women looking for fellowship, mentoring, and teaching in a setting where they will be given the opportunity to be loved, encouraged, and pampered. The group size is limited to 12 each semester. This Bible study is unique in that it takes place in the homes of cooking mentors. Register online at lenexabaptist.com/events. Are you interested in volunteering in our LBC Women’s Ministry? We could use your help! There are many ways that you can be involved. Our women’s events require dozens and dozens of volunteers. We would love for you to be involved. There are opportunities to serve through decorating, greeting, hospitality, and more! There are also opportunities to serve on our women’s prayer team and pray for upcoming events and ministries.
In a church our size, there are also many opportunities for mature women to disciple younger women. If you have a heart for one-on-one discipleship, please let us know and we would love to connect you with a younger woman that would like to be discipled. If you are interested in being involved in facilitating women’s Bible studies, please let us know and we can pair you with one of our current facilitators.
To volunteer in any of these areas or if you have any suggestions for our LBC Women’s Ministry, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
