Cares

Our primary focus is to minister to and support members who are hospitalized, facing ongoing health issues, living in nursing homes or assisted living facilities or facing bereavement. Our example is that of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who provided compassion and encouragement to the sick.

Furthermore, as Paul reminded the church at Corinth, we offer care to those who are ill because God has done the same for us. As we were comforted, so we comfort others. Being a part of the LBC Cares team is a great way to help and to support the body of Christ in a very practical way. When people are hurting or are in need, an encouraging visit, card or phone call from you can make all the difference in how they face their situation.

As LBC continues to grow, so does our Cares ministry. There are many different ways you can get involved with LBC Cares and we need you! If you are looking for a place to serve where you will directly impact people who are hurting and in need of encouragement through service, prayer, scripture reading, letter writing or a phone call – LBC Cares is the place for you!

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ Centered 12 Step Recovery group. We meet every Friday night to be open and honest about our struggles. To work on living a life that would honor God and to develop healthy relationships with those around us. Through the Celebrate Recovery program we learn how to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives by applying the 8 recovery principles found in the Beatitudes to our daily life. By working and applying these principles, we begin to grow spiritually and become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our problems.

God makes all things new as we share our experiences, hopes and strengths with each other. We gain freedom from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, joy, serenity and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and with others. I hope you will join us Friday night at 7:00!
