Single and Parenting | 6:30-8:00pm
Next class will begin August 28, 2019
This class is a place for single parents to find rest, hope and encouragement. In a Single & Parenting group, you’ll participate in video seminars that explain how to:
- Wisely encourage your kids to obey
- Help your hurting child
- Eliminate debt
- Deal with verbal onslaughts
- Figure out what your emotions are telling you
Plus, you’ll develop meaningful friendships with other single parents, who, like you, are tired of hectic mornings and chaotic evenings, the kids fighting, and a never-ending to-do list. Led by Tim and Kris Taylor.

This study is a compilation from ones by Lisa Harper, Kelly Minter, Beth Moore, Jennifer Rothschild and Priscilla Shirer. It covers decisive moments in the lives of five Old Testament figures—Queen Esther, Gideon, Hosea, Malachi and Nehemiah. Through their stories, discover how God uses the lives of ordinary people for their good, His followers’ good and ultimately for His glory. You will find encouragement to live faithful and obedient lives as these heroes did.

Do you find yourself spending time figuring out when to say yes and when to say no, thinking about how to manage your time, reduce stress, do your best for your family and find a little time for yourself? This study will give you strategies to choose “the best yes” rather than choose what is best for others. It will also help you replace the attitude of trying to please everyone with a better understanding of the command to love, thus escaping any guilt of disappointing others.
*An optional companion book is available in addition to the study guide.
