Pray for Team Guinea

Each month we have opportunities to serve Kansas City through partnering with local mission partners in our community. As a church we want to be the hands and feet of Jesus through serving the homeless, orphans, prisoners, refugees, and least of these in KC.

Send Relief is a partnership with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief efforts. Our disaster relief teams respond when crisis hits, quickly providing assistance ranging from serving hot meals to helping families clean up after a storm. We want to bring relief to hurting communities by providing the help, hope and healing of Jesus.

Dominican Republic

This trip is open to all adults and to students age 14-17 years with a parent/signed guardian.  Working with mission partner Score International, this trip focuses on a variety of ministry opportunities including food distribution, light construction, children’s ministry and relational evangelism in the Haitian community of the Dominican.

This trip is open to all adults who have or are serving in the medical field.  This would include nurses, doctors and physician assistants, pharmacists, etc.  This is a medical missions opportunity, serving with a growing local church in the town of Eldoret, Kenya.

This trip is open to all adults and to students 14-17 years with a parent/signed guardian.  Working with mission partner Project Hope, and Daybreak International this trip involves the execution of evangelistic soccer tournaments for various ages.  This is a great trip option for soccer enthusiasts or anyone who has a passion for sharing the Gospel.  Last year this team recorded over 600 decisions for Christ by participants of the soccer tournaments.

Canada

This trip is open to all adults and involves various kinds of social work and relational evangelism in and around the city of Montreal, partnering with Renaissance Church, and North American Mission Board church plant.  Activities will include planning and managing a basketball tournament, distributing food and helping to conduct large events with the people of Renaissance Church.

Mexico

This trip is open to all adults and to students age 14-17 years with a parent/signed guardian.  Team will work with mission partner World Ventures and LBC missionary Glenn Luke to serve the people and churches in and around Ensenada, Mexico.  Team will be involved in a variety of ministry opportunities including the equivalent of an LBC Impact Event. 

Haiti

This is a medical specific mission trip working directly with our mission partner, Project Hope.  The trip involves flying into and out of Port Haitian, Haiti via a missionary airline, MFI and serving at the Project Hope base in Pignon.  The trip is primarily for Medical professionals including doctors, physicians assistants, nurses and pharmacists.  More details for this trip will be added as they are developed.

Southeast Asia

This trip is open to healthy and active adults.  Team will work with mission partner Mountain Calling serving believers and sharing the Gospel in this dark and often difficult part of the world.  Activities include Pastoral training for indigenous Pastor’s, discipleship and encouragement of new believers, and relational evangelism with tourist and people in the tourism industry.  Trip involves a lot of walking/hiking.

This trip is open to all adults and to students age 14-17 years with a parent/signed guardian. Working with mission partner Project Hope, the trip involves constructing homes, doing daily evangelism and discipleship and serving at various established ministry sites.   Constructions skills of benefit but are not required and there is something for everyone as far as service opportunities in Nicaragua. 

Peru

This trip is centered around supporting the ongoing ministries of mission partner Compassion International and the Compassion school/church planted by LBC in Piura, Peru.  LBC people sponsor 500+ children in this area and if you are a sponsor you will likely have the opportunity to meet and spend time with you child.

Honduras

This is a unique mission trip opportunity specifically for law enforcement or ex-law enforcement individuals.  The focus of the trip will be conducting training for the leadership at the Honduran Police Academy in Comayagua, Honduras.  Training will focus on various law enforcement skills and procedures to help them do their job better and safer.
